MassDEP FAQ Document Related to Title 5 Guidance on ADUs

The ADU Guidance is final and available on MassDEP’s website at the below link. 

MassDEP is pleased to announce that the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) Related to Guidance on Title 5 (310 CMR 15.000) Compliance for Accessory Dwelling Units to accompany the Guidance on Title 5 (310 CMR 15.000) Compliance for Accessory Dwelling Units (the “T5 ADU Guidance”) is now available on MassDEP’s website.  It may be found immediately below the T5 ADU Guidance at the following link: Title 5/Septic Systems Policies & Guidance | Mass.gov.

MassDEP intends to for this FAQ document to be an evolving document that will be updated over time with the addition of further questions and accompanying answers.  The questions that the board of health and health departments have contributed to dated are greatly appreciated by MassDEP.
